Every single dude in my grade 6/7 split class had this haircut. It was supposed to be cool and subversive to have no hair underneath hair: so shocking. You could display said missing hair by pulling your existing top layer into a skinny dog poo of a ponytail at the back of your head:
And look really butch. Or something. Sadly, this trend is starting to make somewhat of a comeback, for men as well as women:
The verdict: lame, no matter what decade. Please refrain.
